The unemployment rate for LGBT people is muchhigher than the average American unemployment rate, according to areport by the Williams Institute of Economic Research. This is not only dueto stigma and discrimination in the workplace, but also because the LGBTcommunity faces obstacles in finding work, including rejection of jobsthey apply for because they are LGBT.
