Summary

Tapir is a DeFi protocol that provides depeg protection for assets. It does this by allowing users to split a base asset into two equal ERC20 tokens: DP (Depeg Protection) and YB (Yield Bearer). DP tokens give users protection from potential price depegs while YB tokens offer users with a higher risk tolerance the potential to buy exposure to the Depeg Pool's underlying asset at a potential premium, and redeem them 1:1 for assets if the asset token does not experience a depeg over the pool's lifecycle. Both tokens are put into a forked Uniswap V3 pool, which has certain additional features such as dynamic fees and the ability to pause the Uniswap pool if the Depeg Pool is in a paused state. Over the course of the audit a number of issues were found, these include logical errors within the codebase such as incorrect calculation of the protocol's earned fees (#TAP-1) as well as issues that arise due to edge cases scenarios with the project's business logic. It is recommended that the client addresses all of these issues before the protocol's launch.
